A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words

Whatever your beliefs, perhaps we can agree that our world is in pain. Fear and uncertainty grow stronger with every act of violence or senseless crime — fear that too easily hardens into hate. We are witnessing the rawest side of humanity, giving credence to the idea that hurt people hurt people. 

My heart has felt heavy lately, and I know I’m not alone. Then, walking my dog, I saw this — a heart-shaped leaf resting on cracked concrete. Love, vibrant against a backdrop of brokenness. It felt like an exhale, a quiet reminder that love is still out there — and still within us. I hope it gives you a breath of relief too.
